Welcome to our website.
Poke in the eye tunes is run by independent musicians, both full time professionals and dabbling amateurs, and provides music samples for the public to try.
As time goes on, it is envisaged that the site will grow, featuring many more musicians and bands.
There are no media moguls, or egomaniacs behind 'poke in the eye tunes', just two ordinary blokes looking for a way to spread their music. (Whether it deserves spreading or not).
There are four featured artists, 'indifference engine', the 'Cox Brothers', 'John Cox' and 'James Wells'. Each has a page listing the tracks on a CD that can be purchased on this site via PayPal.
Just click on the links in the 'Featured Artists' section opposite to have a listen to the track samples - each one lasts a minute - and see if you want to purchase the CD. All downloads are approximately 1Mb in size. QuickTime (Mac or PC), iTunes (Mac or PC), Winamp (PC), Audion (Mac) or Windows Media Player (PC) should be suitable for handling the mp3 files.
We are very open to suggestions to include other music on this site. Drop us a line on the link below if you want to be featured or know someone who does.
If you would prefer to buy a CD with a cheque or some other way, we'll see what we can do. Just email us using the link below.

Beam me up!!
The second Cox Brothers album, featuring 11 tracks. A great step on from the first album.
Wound up and fearful
The second CD, containing 10 tracks, expands the range of material to cover electronic, an attempt at 20th century classical, and what we call jazz mock. Weirdly compelling.
